“Using the lock is difficult everytime I use it, it appears to need to be compressed from both the U side of the lock and the locking piece, as well as having the key turned, not easy without a third hand! The locking part seems to be the weak point in an otherwise decent product, when the rain is hammering down and it takes you minutes and minutes to finally get the key to turn and the product locked, you actually think about not locking your bike and dealing with it later. This is a shortcut to getting your bike stolen! I have numerous locks some that are a 10th of the price, with good keys and easy to operate locks, its alarming how expensive this is, let down by seemingly a illsuited lock, I have already bent one of the slightly flimsy feeling keys in the lock trying to get the thing locked up. I would say avoid this lock unless you have a lot of time to get the lock in exactly the right position to close it.”

“Was on the hunt for a new lock that had some resistance to angle grinder attacks. I saw a Bennetts Bike Social review on the D1000, and was impressed with its angle grinder resistance, so I purchased its bigger brother the DX1000. In hand it's well made chunky and fits my R1250RS front wheel easily. It's got decent weight, but small enough to easily fit in my top box along with my loop chain and additional lock.”
“Bought as a replacement for my old Oxford D Lock, it's a beast of a lock, unfortunately just doesn't fit through my both discs, just too thick with the coating on it.
Very solid and well made though.”
