“This chain is a 10mm link chain long enought to cope with most situations for securing my bike while travelling, it is light enough to pack easily for touring so it will get used. It is never going to survive a determined attack but it might act as a deterrant and make an opportunist theif stroll on and find an easier target. Well built and quick delivery. My only critisism is the week after I bought it Hiplok launched a 15% discount on all products and this seems a little unfair.”

“Loop chain light enough to carry and have confidence regarding the bike's security especially by pairing it with two DX1000 locks. Very reasonable price however, would be nice to have the slightly thicker loop chain for the DX1000 though.”

“It seems pretty secure but is way lighter than the XL Chain(possibly light enough to carry if needed?). I like the chain link shapes at the ends to allow for multiple options for lock up. I use it with a U-lock and the XL for extra security locking bikes to my car's rack. It's well made and the fabric wrap seems well made and is tough.”
“I ride a R+M Load4 75, and it is difficult to find a serious lock that will work with it. The combination of the DX1000 through the rear triangle and wheel along with the X chain gives me peace of mind that my bike won’t easily sprout legs and wander off. Without this chain, you either have to use a monstrously heavy motorcycle chain or alter the rubber sheath to fit a smaller chain on.”
“The Hiplock D1000X is a serious piece of kit. It has presence and heft. To be honest I don’t know how long it will take to surrender to an angle grinder. A determined thief will take your bike eventually I feel.
But it’s very solid. Well made and gives me a feeling of security especially when used with a decent chain and attached to a pistol or another bike.”
