Enables you to secure a large frame e-bike to nearby objects like a post etc. Though it’s on the heavier side to transport to your destination it’s well worth it when you get there! Great piece of kit and very good for a substantial e-bike, especially. Fulfils insurance requirements too.”
“What’s unique about the X Chain is that it fits locks with VERY large shackles, i.e., the heaviest U/D locks. Virtually all other loop type chains have only ONE large loop—a loop to fit over the chain—but have a regular sized link at the end designed for a lock shackle but is too small to fit most U/D locks.
As a result, it’s possible to use the X chain with angle grinder resistant locks like the Hiplok D1000 series and the Litelok X1 and X3. It’s also possible to feed the X Chain;s end loop through the bar on most cafe/frame locks.
For bicycle and e-bike use, regular chains are anachronistic because loop chains allow a given chain length for about half the length and weight of a normal chain. This is true for the X Chain, but in addition, it’s unique double loop design (both loops have an interior width of about 35mm) makes it the most versatile loop chain currently available.
The X Chain also has a well-designed cover that is thick and bolted onto the chain, so it won’t slip and does a good job protecting the finish on the bike.
All in all, in my view, this is currently the most versatile medium security chain on the market. Easy to carry and easy to use compared to all other medium security chains.”
