“There is a whole world of intriguing, challenging perfume to try but sometimes you just want to smell nice. This is a happy floral, fruity scent. Tel Aviv is for sunny days, or for bringing some sunshine into dull days. If Tel Aviv were a person it would be Olivia Newton John's character in Grease before the makeover. Although the notes listed include clementine, black currant and bergamot top notes, my greatest impression is of a burst of yellow flowers. There's a soapy note which adds to the overall brightness. On me, it needs re-applying by lunchtime and I don't ever seem to get to the dry down before it has vanished altogether, although the base notes are in the mix and adding some depth to the fruit and flowers. The sillage is moderate. I'd use a discreet touch of Tel Aviv before going into a meeting - I'll be enjoying it on myself but other people in the room will just get an occasional delightful waft. This is not a classic of the perfumer's art that will live forever, but it is a very nice smell.”
