“Many thanks for sending the replacement parts for my hose trigger nozzle, which are now fitted and operational, but the leaking is still apparent from between the front rotating pattern plate and the body of the gun. I wonder as to why you have a special O ring instead of using an off-the-shelf style from an engineering shop. The fact that yours is oval cross-section hasn't stopped it leaking or made it any better design, and meant that spare parts must be obtained from your office. I note that one of my guns did not have a FULL jet which I use regularly, and have never used any of the other patterns other than SHOWER and JET which are in constant use. The return spring on the trigger - whilst easy to use - also has a slightly sloppy feel and could be a bit stronger. Both my hose reels are difficult to return the hose as it appears that the starting point of the moving guide is out of position and the last layer on the drum jams up on rewinding. I am loathe to dismantle the complete mechanism as I am not sure what I may find or displace something that I cannot reposition. Which side should I lay it on to take it apart without anything springing out. Your next question as to whether I would recommend is difficult to answer as I can buy several cheapies and get good use for the same price as only one of yours, and I also note that they DO get dragged along the ground and concrete paths and become quite battered and abraded looking. “I was most thankful for the kind off to supply me with a few replacement levers. My contact was not at all aimed at this! I simply wanted to inform Hoselink that I think the lever is a “weak-link” in the otherwise high quality range. I wonder if said levers are less able to suffer UV? Anyway, many thanks for taking my comment on board, Happy New Year to all at hoselink and thanks for such a truly great product range.”
“The flow meter is a great idea but unfortunately the plastic lever quickly becomes brittle and breaks easily. This has been my second replacement of the lever in two years. I would be impressed if it was made in some sort of metal so that it didn't break as easily. Otherwise, it is great.”
“The flow control lever makes using the hose and nozzle better and it is good they are now available as a spare part. However it would be good if they could be made more substantial and stronger because they do break fairly easily. I have replaced about 8 or ten of these in the past year or so.”
