“Our hose is still leaking at the nozzle, we’ve bought 2 replacement sets and now the repair kit and the hose is still leaking. I love the reel and the length of the hose but we’ve had so much trouble with the trigger gun”

“My 7-pattern sprayer started leaking, a-gain. It’s done it several times and the plunger was easily replaced but this time the wheels fell off the billycart. I couldn’t pull the plunger out, even by pushing the end with a small screwdriver but in the end, old age coupled with frustration (and a strong pair of pliers) got it out. One of those tiny O-rings had been chewed up by the mineral deposits inside the gun. I followed the instructions to fit the new one, using a lot of the supplied silicone lubricant but absolutely no go. The plunger wouldn’t fit. Made the mistake of using a bit more elbow-grease but still no-go. Being the sneaky bloke that ‘I is’, I dismantled the gun again and soaked it overnight in a 50/50 solution of vinegar. That softened the mineral deposits and I used a brass bristle brush from my firearm cleaning kit to remove any deposits. Them more of that silicone grease ($3.50 for a teaspoon amount is a bit rich but at least it came with this kit) and the new plunger slid home. All back together and the spray works as it originally did. Until next time but I might use CLR to remove the deposits. A shame we can’t get those tiny O-rings on their own.”
