“I have not mounted the reel yet! The supplied mounting plugs do not suit my wall cladding of brick veneer (thin) glued to an aluminium backing, affixed to aluminium rails mounted on asbestos fibre cement mounted on a wooden frame. Its still too hot to work outside at present as well.”

“I bought the cover because I thought it would come down over the gap where the hose emerges which would stop incursions from birds, wasps etc and prevent them from using the space for nesting..
This has happened to friends who have also purchased the hose.
I will now have to think of a way of modifying the cover so that the space cant be breached.
Perhaps your design team could give some thought to solving this problem.”
