“Very disappointed that I’ve now bought three 30m hose reels for my new house only to have you come out with charcoal which would suit much better. Only found out as I was about to order another as I’ve just found out I have 4 taps to cover (acreage) but I’ll need to think about it now. None have been installed yet but I don’t suppose you would want to swap them for 4 charcoal ones The product is great. This is the third house I’ve put them in at.”
“Hose is working well. No leaks with tap full on and valve closed. I wanted to install mine on a post under a stairway and so had limited height. My first attempt would not let me mount the hose because unlike many other reels the hose cannot be placed and then the pin entered. you need extra clearance for that. It would be good in the instructions to include the minimum overhead clearance required above the top of the bracket to allow clearance. Secondly, you need a 5.5mm drill bit into wood. 5mm with a makita 18v could not drive the coach bolts home using a socket and even using a long impact socket i did not have clearance against the bottom of the plastic bracket housing to drive them fully in. WIth the 5.5mm holes they were to tight at this point to go any further with a screwdriver bit. You can check this but putting a 10mm socket on a 1/2 extension drive and try to fit it into the recess where the bolt goes (note this is the bottom coach screws only). You could also add a centre line down your template as it is not centered on the page. I got there and happy with the hose but not the easiest install and i am a better than average handyman. thanks.
