“As a vertically challenged senior, the retractable hose has cut my watering time down. Thus at this time of the year less time in the sun and heat. Purchasing the larger reel I can water my whole garden either with recycable water as well as fresh. I have access to both and I like to use the fresh water on my pots with lettuce and tomatoes and as drinking water for the native birds as I live in a rural area. I like the fact that the hose doesn’t kink and I don’t ‘kink’ with constant bending over on arthritic joints. Thanks for such a dependable unbendable friend to the seniors in our community.”

“This is my third Hoselink hose and reel, bought to finally replace a manual reel.As hoped, the hose and reel are top quality and the Hoselink fittings continue to be far superior to the click fittings. My previous hose and reel sets came with the old metal body sprayers which, although needing occasional maintenance with the spare parts and lubricating silicone that first came with them, have been reliable and a pleasure to use. So much so, that I bought extras for the non-Hoselink locations in the garden (such as the now-replaced hose and reel).The plastic sprayer that now comes with the hose and reel is a cheap and nasty substitute.It is uncomfortable to hold and direct (the angle between the handle and nozzle is wrong), the thumb control is also uncomfortable to use and needs to be turned off rather than automatically stopping when released like the trigger grip of the old metal body sprayers. The spray patterns on the new sprayer are generally acceptable, but the "Centre" pattern which is a favourite of mine on the metal version is too thin and widely dispersed on the plastic version (a few lines of spray in a cone 1.5m wide at 4m, rather than many lines narrowly focussed to about 50cm width at 3-4 metres). I will be substituting the older metal version and relegating the new plastic one to the spares box, hoping that it never has to be brought out.Overall I still recommend the Hoselink hose and reel set, but suggest that buyers look for another sprayer.”
