“The shank is not long enough to fit through both holes in the support post, meaning it has to be used only through one of the holes, significantly reducing the strength of the security provided. For the first Hoselink hose reel I purchased years ago I bought my own padlock with an extended shank. I did expect a padlock from Hoselink to also have an extended shank.”
“Expected the padlock to be larger, to fit across full diameter of the mounting pipe. Turns out it’s not, but still does the job of preventing easy removal (theft) of the reel from the mounting bracket.The padlock fitted in easily, without any issues. I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks, so cannot comment on durability and rust resistance.”
