“We recently moved house and as we had previously purchased three Hoselink 20m auto rewind hose reels at our previous house, I decided to purchase more at our new house as I had been so impressed with them. After measuring the backyard and garden requirements I selected two of the 30m reels. The ordering process was fast and easy and email correspondence was sent to me letting me now the status of my order. Delivery was very quick (a matter of days) and the product arrived carefully boxed and packaged well. Free delivery was a real bonus! The hose reels are easy to install and can be done by one person, however a bit of handyman work is needed. There is some drilling necessary onto the wall/location where you wish to mount the house but the unit comes with a template that tells you exactly where the holes need to be drilled. The drilling process is the only time consuming part of the installation - once done the unit simply gets fitted onto the bracket and the job is done. It is very solid and secure and I like the way that it swivels back and forth depending on what side of the tap that you are watering from. I also added a padlock to the bottom of the unit onto the security ring provided. When using the hose reel, I found the best thing to do it pull out the length of hose that you require and then turn on the tap, but that is just my preference and it can be used either way. The locking mechanism works very well and even with the 30m hose I don't have a lot of trouble pulling the necessary length of hose from the reel. I can only imagine that this would be easier again with reels with less hose. The fittings are very solid - I am yet to have one burst or come apart which is great when you are tossing it around the garden and pulling on it. The package comes with spare washers in case leaks are every experienced. When retracting the hose, again I prefer to turn off the water, empty the contents of the hose and then wind it back in. My advice is to stand near the hose reel unit itself and slowly feed the hose back in as this ensures that it winds back in neatly on the rollers. I also recommend letting the hose run through your hands to not only control the speed but to also remove any dirt of debris that you will not want to get inside the winding mechanism. Overall, I have found these great products and very well priced compared to similar models in the large hardware stores. I have bought 5 in the past two years, not because I keep on having to replace them but because I use them everywhere (at my old house and new). You won't be disappointed with one of these.”
