“I absolutely love this portable hose and reel. It's a perfect length for my alfresco area with no more tangles, kinks or tap leaks. It is so refreshing to no longer see the old hose laying around the alfresco area.”
“While the hose and fittings are great, I find the mounting system on this hose reel very poor. It’s basically the same as you’d have for a power board - two screws that the unit hangs on. The moment you wind or pull the hose out, the unit can easily slip off those screws. Basically when using it I have to hold the reel with one hand and wind/pull with the other. The plastic around the screw holes also does not appear hard enough, having started to bend and wear. Really for a wall mounted reel system bearing the hoselink brand, the mounting system should be significantly improved. The unit should screw into something - not just hang off a couple of small plastic holes.”
Hi Dave,We apologise for the confusion. The 10m Compact Hose Reel isn't designed to be a wall mounted reel system and has the mounting as an option for storage. “I bought this because of its size and portability expecting it to be easier for my wife to use. It has proven to be a reasonable buy. Three things to note: 1. the hose has a smaller diameter than a regular hose therefore water flow is not as strong; 2. The hose reel only lasted a few weeks before it proved faulty. The return valve malfunctioned in the body of the case causing the hose to leak everywhere; 3. The customer service was superb. They replaced it without question. This is a company you can buy from with confidence. The replacement is working fine so far and my wife finds its portability terrific. Overall, I would recommend the product.”
