The arm is extendable to reach into higher spots. The pivot allows you to direct the water to where you need it to clear the gutters. Excellent quality, easy to use. “Extension is great. Does seem to move some built up gutter gunk but without climbing a ladder it is difficult to know how much. It may require a final ladder clean up before the sprayer can be used as a regular maintenance tool. Did seem to use a lot of water in my test.”
