“At last! A sprinkler that I needn't move from spot to spot to cover our rectangular garden (and, let's face it, not many people have circular gardens that suit the standard sprinkler reach). Not only can you choose how far it moves left and right, you can also choose how wide the spray is. The kids also love it, and they play games to see if they can avoid the spray as it moves left to right. It's nice and solid... Not plasticky and cheap like most things you get from the big hardware stores. My husband and I are really impressed... “I bought the oscillating sprinkler as an experiment. Previously I watered our back lawn with a couple of old fashioned 'Rose' sprinklers and was upset to see a large proportion of my water being evaporated or blown away befor it got to the grass. I reasoned that the oscillating sprinkler may deliver the water in a bigger droplet form and I believe that I was right. In rough terms the oscillating sprinkler covered about twice the area as the rose so I compensated by watering for about two and a half hours instead of one and a half with each of the rose sprinklers I also used a little less water pressure. I feel that I got a far better response on the lawn, together with the added advantage of not having to water a square lawn with round sprinklers”
