“Got this for my greenhouse and set it up right away . Had a hiccup the first day as there was some crap in my hose that clogged them up so i contacted hose link and asked for some help online. Got me fixed up right away , now they are working like a charm keeping my green house watered . The timer works perfectly i had it watering every 15 mins on the first day just for testing and now i have it every 6 house for 15 mins . Just set and forget . I was so happy i bought a second set to completely cover the green house”
“Only been installed for a few weeks around the edge of my outdoor area but so far so good- on some really hot Perth days its made a definite difference. Nice fine mist that doesnt wet the area below if its suitably hot and breezy. Timer a bit finicky but works well once its set up.”
“I got the Total Misting Kit which has the all you need components for a basic set up. This included a timer which really is essential so that you can control how the system operates. The good bits:
* Swivel head misters - give you much more flexibility to set mist angle
* Connections - mist heads to hose line - good firm positive grip. The locking collars ensure that they are not likely to pop off under pressure but the hose lines are easy to work off if you have a modification or adjustment to do.
* Ease of setup - fairly straight forward as a single line misting system. You have to experiment with spacing to suit your environment. I found 120cm spacing worked for me. The lines will stretch a bit after setup so I had to do some cut and readjustments to stop the lines sagging too much.
* Timer - relatively easy to set and operate once you understand it. My partner may have difficulty with it to begin with. Competitor misting systems do not seem to have a dedicated timer available. This is a big plus here.
* Mist quality - very fine mist - perfect. Quick evaporation resulting in very quick cooling effect.
The things that could improve:
* The availability of extra components from the company would give users of this kit great flexibility in how they set it up. These items appear not to be available which is disappointing as it meant I had to go to other suppliers to bodge something together that worked for my situation:
* Inline Joiners - you make mistake cutting a line, there is no option available to rejoin or to add additional line lengths without having to incorporate a misting head.
* t-joiners.
* in-line tap - to control different areas of misting.
* end plug with no mister head - not available.
* Mounting options - the kit came with two mounting options - hanger clips and nail in hose clips. Great for temporary setups or wooden framework. There appears to be nothing available for mounting to steel fabricated pergolas. I had to source saddle clamps and screws from another supplier.
Overall it is a great system. I would buy it again.”
