The lights are placed in an ornamental garden bed with stones.these lights light up the changes in the wall of the garden bed along the drive way making it safer when using the driveway at night..great product. “Brilliant lights, affordable and efficient! We unpacked our Hoselink solar path lights one morning and popped them into the ground with the angled solar panel facing north and one light north west, and the sensor facing the walkway. At dusk they were already working and when we walk along the path they brighten to allow us to better see our way. Theyve been in operation for a couple of weeks now with several very dim days when the sun is a red orb you can look at due to the heavy smoke haze, yet the lights work all night and are very much appreciated by everyone using this pathway to our cottage and parking area. Will certainly be buying more for all our outdoor areas once we complete our renovations.”
