“Rather than use the spike that came with the light, I cut a 15mm length from 90mm drainage pvc pipe and glued this to the light base. Now the light can sit on flat concrete only 10mm above the ground. This keeps it above any pooling water. The light works wonderfully and seems to be totally waterproof. On full brightness and cycling colours it would run for about 8 hours. If you dim the brightness a couple of clicks it seem to last all night.”
