“This awning is amazing in size and coverage. Setting it up takes a few minutes, an extra set of hands to hold the poles while you tie the flies, and a little practice getting it straight and lining it up to the opening of the tent so that the fabric isn’t twisted and a nice taut surface is created for water to run off. Love the height and how it perfectly attaches to our tent. Love it once it’s up. Kinda dread the set up and tear down.”
“Great awning that increases the useable space for heavy sun or in rain. Easier to set up once I understood the gye ropes, simple. I zipped the awning first then poles and stakes. When you unpack it the first time be sure to pay attention to how it was originally folded and it will make life easier when you have to pack it up later. More affordable than the annex and I think more practical for space and set up time.”
“The awning transforms the Skycamp from a tent to a liveable space, providing enough room to cook and dine under. The setup is easy (it took us less than 5 minutes the first time) and the placement of the grommets (pole holes) allows for a variety of layouts. “The awning is a great addition to the skycamper. I love that I have a way to keep out of the weather (sun, snow, rain, etc.) when I don't have a choice where I park. The canopy allows me to extend my campsite for my friends and family. The canopy features only a fabric roof, which means that air will flow through with even more ease, as will people. The space underneath this canopy top can be used for cooking, eating, or simple entertaining.
The canopy is easy to assemble/install. The material is well made; bright retractable poles and fluorescent ropes are a welcome feature - nobody likes tripping over the ropes you can't see. The entire canopy fits neatly inside a small carrying bag.”
