“Overall Summary: We would recommend it because it serves its purpose better than any alternative can. A mattress that provides a better night's sleep, especially for side sleepers, while maximizing the sleeping footprint with a custom-shaped mattress. It is not perfect, however the comfort is worth the issues.
The Things We Didn't Like:
1) Initially, we purchased the iKamper because we were attracted to how quick it is to set up and put away. We have a first generation iKamper Mini. This mattress does take us approximately 3 to five times longer to set up than it takes to set up the iKamper or put away our iKamper. However for the trade off of comfort, it is worth it.
2)We are not sure if we have a defective mattress, however when we have our valves set to the deflate mode, ensuring that they are properly set on the deflate setting and orientation, and we begin to roll up the mattress the air leaves the mattress as designed. However if we pause the rolling up of the mattress, and take our body weight off of the mattress, we can hear air slowly being sucked back into the mattress and the mattress thus again inflating, even while all of valves are in the deflate orientation. The mattress did not do this the first three times we practiced packing it up and setting it up, however ever since the fourth and ongoing times we are packing it away it seems like deflate valves do not hold a seal anymore and air slowly leaks back in while we are trying to get the air out. Again not sure if this is a defective mattress/valves or what.
Our solution to mitigate this, is quite simple though. We just roll up the mattress all the way without removing our body weight ever from the mattress until the mattress is completely rolled up and the air is all out, then we would cap all the valves with the grey caps. Between the combination of the valves in the deflation orientation, and the grey caps attached, no air is able to leak back into the mattress.
We feel that the valves in the deflation orientation should not allow air back, and believe ours might be defective or possibly the valves are poorly engineered (as they worked the way we would imagine the first three times packing it up) however, like before, the trade-off is worth it for the comfort we receive.
3) Lastly, it is not the easiest for us to leave the deflated mattress in the iKamper when we pack everything down. Perhaps our mattress is not perfectly deflated, but we wish that we would be able to fit more things into the iKamper when packing down, in addition to just a self-inflating air mattress.
Overall this mattress is not perfect but we would purchase again.

“Much better than the foam mattress. Easy inflate and deflate. Very comfortable mattress for multi day trips. IKamper has done it again. Best products on the market.”
