Mounting Brackets 2.0 Reviews

3.2 Rating 21 Reviews
Works great for ease of mounting, they just seem to come loose over time and cause squeaking on my rack. Not a big deal, just kind of annoying.

The brackets do not work with a Prinsu rack on the '21 4runner with the iKamper mini. The bracket is less than a 1/4 inch from the roof, and with weight added to the tent the bracket will rub the roof. Likely also on bumpier roads/surfaces.

These brackets do not work with a Prinsu rack on a 2021 4Runner with the iKamper mini. The bottom of the bracket is within a centimeter of the roof, and when weight is added to the tent the bracket rubs the roof.

The 2.0 brackets are much easier to install but the lock washer does not provide a sufficient hold when on backroads with washboard surface. We installed four brackets. One completely failed and was thrown. The other three all loosened such that the ikamper slid forward over the windshield damaging the roof of our jeep. It just luck that we were able to stop the vehicle in time before losing the ikamper off the roof at 40 mph deep in the outback of the southwest. We ordered an additional set of brackets and have installed six in total. In addition, we have added a nylon lock nut behind the bolt mount to ensure the bolts will not walk again.

I wanted to love these brackets because they are great in principal BUT they do not fit so any racks. If they only worked THICKER brackets like Rhino etrc.

shipping is too slow I placed an order on mid of June and received the item on mid of August. Actual ETA is 50-60 days instead of 7-14 days that your support rep informed me. And support rep could not provide the tracking info properly. Overall, your Customer service level is very poor. you will not get even one star...

This bracketing upgrade saves much extra lifting, time, and effort in comparison to the original brackets. No need for compressor & air tools... and these can be partially installed before tent is on top of the vehicle, negating the need to life up each corner , once tent is on roof, to install! Great Idea!! Thanks!

I have the original iKamper with the original pinch plate brackets. You have to ratchet up all these bolts. Time consuming and difficult to get your hands under. This new design just squeezes the rack and so easy to install. I finished everything in about 10 minutes. I love it.
