“Recently purchased the iKamper Skycamp mini and love it! However, my truss bed rack system with 2 inch wide load bars from UpTop Overland were too wide to accommodate the included 2.0 mounting brackets. So I purchased the original 1.0 iKamper mounting brackets and they work great! There’s plenty of adjustability with several holes for the mounting bolts, however I would’ve liked to see a little bit sturdier metal plates. They will suffice, but would’ve been nice for some added durability.”
“I’m impressed by the build quality of the brackets and they fit perfectly for my application. My only gripe is the bolt length which was much much longer than what I needed which ended up resulting me in going to a hardware store and buying shorter bolt and nuts, which wasn’t a big hassle for me. I would get them again in a heart beat and trust them with the weight of the tent even when I’m doing some hardcore off-roading!”
“The square cutouts in the brackets for the carriage bolts are slightly too small, causing you to have to hand match tolerances carefully with each bolt. The stainless hardware is very prone to galling and using anti seize is absolutely critical. The lengths of the bolts makes the anti seize likely to make a mess. Overall, the design is strong but minor flaws make these needlessly annoying to use.”
