“IKamper was fantastic, just returned from the Arctic (Yukon and Northwest Territories in Canada), but the Annex proved problematic. A wind came up during the.night, knocked it down and broke the set of tent poles.”
“Functionally, these looks work great, and do the job you would expect. Unfortunately, when you purchase these locks, you are not given an opportunity to tell them the lock code of your tent. Even more surprising was the two locks I received in this kit, had different keys. So I now struggle to figure out which key opens my tent, because I have 3 keys on my key ring for my iKamper tent. I spoke to the retail store where I purchased my iKamper. They told me the number one product they sell out of their store, are replacement locks and keys for customers Yakima, Thule and other Mfg's roof rack systems. I'm puzzled why iKamper can't comprehend how much this small improvement in their process would improve their customers satisfaction of their tent, if they could get all of the locks to match.”
“I would definitely recommend that everyone purchase the anti theft brackets for there ikamper . Someone tried to get mine off of my jeep and I'm very confident that the locks are what stopped them ! With such a big investment I felt it was extremely important to protect it any way I could . They take a few minutes to install but once they are on you are good to go . I have found that getting a rack with enough clearance is key to installing with ease . I have the smitty built rack and it has been great .”
“Worried about security? This should help ease your mind.
I rest a lot easier leaving my tent in the parking lot whenever I leave it. It takes quite a bit of effort to remove the tent as it is, but this will add a lot more hassle for someone trying to steal it. MUST HAVE!! Definitely happy with it. :)”
“At first when i saw the locks, I thought they looked really clunky and hard to install. it was a bit tricky at first, but once you get them on it'll give you peace of mind that you can leave your site/tent and go on a hike without worrying about your tent getting nabbed. cool little gadet to add on to your tent and a good investment.”
“They work great and are made out of very heavy duty steel. Now I don't have to worry about someone taking my tent if I leave my vehicle unattended. An easy way to protect your investment!”
“For short trips to the woods ( where not as many humans ) the standard brackets are great, but if travelling across city terrain and leaving it in a parking lot or if you plan on permanently leaving it on the roof, I prefer to have a little more security, and this fit the bill perfectly.”
