“The quality for the wind deflector is not up to the standard set by other iKamper products I've used. It's very flimsy, and difficult to get the rubber gasket that goes around the deflector to stay in place. Ultimately I ended up returning mine... which was super easy, because everyone who works at iKamper is super friendly and their customer service is awesome.”
“I wish I could say great things, but the reality is that I found this device to be of poor design and ineffective in terms of its job. The deflector itself was noisy and the brackets were not strong enough and it bounced around after just a short ride. The deflector itself also moved around and the volume of wind was worse as it got loose. I had to pull over to tighten it by hand on the side of a busy turnpike several times on my journey (3 hour ride). This product also arrived bent (looked like a return that was repackaged?) and the screw system was not easily installed. I haven’t been this frustrated in quite some time and feel this price was completely unfair. I say it again. Completely unfair.”
“It has cut the wind noise down and gives me better gas mileage. One problem I’ve had is the knobs come loose and mist be frequently tightened. However, it was easy to put together and put on the tent!”
“This wind deflector will not work with the Yakima Tower Rack System on a Subaru Outback. Mounting is either too far under the iKamper RTT or has too much of a gap over the top to be effective. I should have purchased a different (lower profile) roof rack in order for the wind deflector to function as intended. I may attempt to use the wind deflector structure but construct a deflector panel that is several inches taller.”
