Skycamp 2.0 Reviews

First time camping in my Ikamper and the wind and rain is bad so I removed the metal window bars and the entrance got rain everywhere. I was afraid if i left them on the wind could bend them but if the flap was just a bit longer it would have been fine. Also disappointed for the cost that this didn’t include an awning I mean seriously guys this is a very expensive tent you could at least include a entrance awning instead of charging more for one. The other disappointing thing is the mattress is extremely uncomfortable but it is so compact that I can’t shut it if I put anything else in it. My previous hardshell rtt was not as well built but it was half the price and you could easily leave sleeping gear in it but that wouldn’t be an issue if the mattress was comfortable. I’m still deciding whether I want to keep this or go with something else

There are so many things to say about the Skycamp. 1. The rack you choose is really important. We have the RhinoRack rack. Because of the design we could not mount the camper to the rack. We had to do our own mount (Thanks to YouTube). It was difficult. 2. The first time we put this back together we wanted to test run what the specs say. On our very first try, we got the Skycamp packed back and locked in 3:19. We also stumbled. Now we are experts and it takes us no time to set up. 3. The first night we camped it was 41’F. We were so warm inside. Yes, we have good sleeping bags, but my family and I felt that the material was so well made that it helped keep us warm. This camper is awesome.

Initially I was hesitant to purchase a rooftop tent. When I finally decided to make the decision to buy a rooftop tent I began to research different brands. I was looking for a high quality tent that could withstand the elements, and stand the test of time; that’s when I came across the iKamper. I made the decision to buy the Skycamp 2.0 and have traveled the US with it over the past several months. I have been very happy with the tent and I consider it one of the best investments that I have made. I am looking forward to many more trips in the tent.

I purchased this rooftop tent, after looking at my friends Ikamper. With all of the options out there, this one does cost a bit more than others, however I believe you get what you pay for. after owning and traveling with the Ikamper for over a year, I do not regret buying it. I have slept in all kinds of terrains, from forests, deserts, and even in snow, it has not disappointed me. I also purchased the liner for the cold months and have not yet needed to use a heater to keep the inside warm. My brother is currently building a overland 4runner and he as well will purchase a Ikamper roof top tent.

Love the easy set up! Will definitely utilized some sort of anti condensation carpet or lining to help with the condensation underneath the mattresses. Overall, it was comfortable and absolutely think it’s worth the price

Love my IKamper Skycamp! My wife and i have taken this out over a dozen times since we recieved and installed back in Aug 2020. Tons of room, quick and easy setup! Also recommend getting the awning with this. Look forward to many more adventures in my Ikamper...

I love this tent. It’s off the ground, it does not take up cargo space. Quality is well worth the price. The only downside is it doesn’t come with any free amenities. Dim-able LED light strip would be nice. Wish it could store more sleeping bags inside when it’s closed. The sleeping pad is decent and add extra padding would great. Overall this is a great roof top tent. Go anywhere and setup is seconds away from a great night sleep.
