“this is a great little addition that really should come as part of the skycamp. With so much place inside the skycamp its easy to lose keys, phones, and other gadgets. This pocket is perfect for keeping everything in one spot.”
“When I first saw the SkyCamp pop out on Kickstarter I knew it was the tent for me and my families adventures. There are other roof top tents out there but none to date open up to the size that the SkyCamp does.
The whole tent as a whole is extremely rigid for as light as it is. We find it very easy to pack up and stow with exception of the tent wanting to pop out as the air escapes. We feel like some shock--cord could remedy this issue and we will be experimenting with that soon.
The Mattress is not as thick and comfortable as we would like but we also understand there is limited room with the folded design. A couple of self inflating sleeping pads fix this quick. We also put down a layer of Reflectix™ to insulate the floor.
The windows and door zipper operate very easy, and the ladder is strong and sturdy yet simple in operation. The tension rods for the "front porch awning" are cumbersome at times but that's just the nature of tension rods and is found with every roof top tent with tension rods. Lifting Strut lockouts are really easy to use and prevent the top from falling due to very high winds.
I have and will continue to spread the word about this awesome tent with anyone that will listen.

“I have the poly cotton version of the Skycamp. I went from the James Baroud Evasion XXL. I loved that RTT except that it stuck out on either side of my vehicle. Thats not ideal when driving through the forest. Then the Skycamp arrived. Perfect fit on the roof of the vehicle and because of the genius design, I have even more space which is just so sweet. I like just about everything on the skycamp. The mattress however leaves a bit to be desired. I have the early adopter version which is just a thin piece of foam. I would have loved to get the quilted look as depicted in the photos. The two clasps are not confidence inspiring. I find myself checking them all the time. I am a bit paranoid that it will fail. I also have the clear rain entry thingy as well as the annex and the awning. I am glad I set it up at home before heading out. I struggled the first time but once you get used to it, its quite quick and easy to set up. I do wish that the shell were a more sturdy version that what is on there right now. mine got scraped up during an outing. My remedy was to coat the entire cover in Linex. Now its perfect!!!”
