Numbing Gel 4oz. Reviews

4.7 Rating 441 Reviews
I won't go back to getting tattooed without Hush! It really helps take the bite off from being tattooed and makes the experience much more pleasant. The gel works very well for me and lasts for 2-3 hours. Once that wears off, my tattoo artist uses my Hush spray and that sees me through the end of my 4 or 6 hour sessions. The soap is also fantastic for the next day when everything is very sore. I love Hush and will keep using it for all future tattoos!

You can still feel alot of the pain but it does make it bearable. If you are looking for a complete numbness without feeling anything, then you will be disappointed. Just use it to help the most discomfort.

I have two full sleeves, chest pieces, both calves, full left shin, and this one was my full right shin, so I consider myself pretty experienced in terms of being inked . Okay look, we all have different pain tolerances and parts that hurt more than others, so take my review with that in mind. My usual sitting time is about 3 hours max. Actually, around the 2 hour mark it usually starts becoming very uncomfortable for me, so I normally separate my line work from my shading work. This piece on my shin was particularly painful down by my ankle and areas around the top of my shin bone. So when I went back for the shading work, I knew I'd need something to take off the edge. I let the gel soak for a little under two hours, covered with saran wrap. The areas that weren't overly painful to me had become almost completely numb. Little to no pain sensation. The areas that were normally rough in pain were definitely reduced. The areas that were normally very painful, I didn't notice much of a reduction at all. There was some, but like I said, very little. My take on it is that I'll continue using it going forward. While it didn't do much for my very high pain areas, there's no denying that my overall experience was much improved. One tip I'd recommend if your artist is someone that frowns upon numbing products, is to take a very wet washcloth along with you in a plastic bag. I went to dry wipe it off in my car before going in and I discovered it left a very obvious tacky residue and some medicine odor. I went into a restroom and it easily wiped off with some wet paper towels. As for the work itself, my artist who I've been seeing for years, never made any negative comments at all about my skin condition. I didn't notice any difference whatsoever in how it looked afterwards. This is only 18 hours since my work, but my tat and skin look like they always do, so I'd have to say there has been no negative aftereffects. Overall, I'm happy with my experience using this gel.

I am 40 years old and have been getting tattoos since I was 18 including a full sleeve and a script across my chest as an example of a couple of tattoos I have. I was introduced to the Hush product by an artist. I am currently 3 sessions into what looks like be a 5 session piece covering my entire chest including down below the nipples. I honestly don't know if I could sit through this piece without this product. I can definitely tell you that this size piece would be a lot more than five sessions without this product. I would not be able to sit as well or as long without the Hush!

Longer sessions are made far more survivable with Hush!

I got a tattoo done and it killed. I went back to get it touched up and used the hush gel and it hurt so much less. Would recommend.

Best product I've tried yet. Didn't feel a thing, and I sat for 3 hours for a sleeve outline. Can't wait to go back and finish!

I had a 2.5 hour leg tattoo done. This stuff made it a very bearable experience. The numbness did start to wear off at around 2 hours though. I think the effectiveness varies from person to person. But personally I would recommend it. 10/10, A+ product.
