“This stuff is incredible. I came home to SF mentally and physically exhausted after a day of catching up with friends in the East Bay, and decided to try out the bottle I'd ordered.
I drank only half of it. One half hour later, I was zeroing my couple-weeks-stale email inbox without feeling like I was really exerting much willpower to do so. I zeroed my inbox, and started playing around with my ukulele; I felt more alert and focused and able to concentrate on both strumming and singing, something I'd found more difficult to practice simultaneously before.
Excited to test the limits of this new toy, I then decided to meet up with my friend at his house a 30-minute walk away by running. I live on a hill but basically never run. I was able to maintain at least a fastwalk, and more than half of the time a running pace, for the entire 20 minutes that it took me to reach him.
And that was half a bottle!
For those familiar with Spoon Theory (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spoon_theory), I would describe HVMN Ketone as **the closest thing to liquid spoons** that I have ever experienced. For those unfamiliar with Spoon Theory, that's a high compliment.
It doesn't taste *that* bad.
I am grateful for HVMN's use of stevia over artificial sweeteners, since most artificial sweeteners actually make things taste *worse* to me.
On a sidenote, I would be interested in a product that was just straight HVMN Ketone without the flavor and stevia, because I would then mix it in with my earl grey tea every morning.
All in all: 100% worth it. I only wish I could afford it more frequently. I'll be buying more once mine runs out, and rationing it out to myself as much as feels like the right money/spoons tradeoff. Maybe 1/month.”
“As an elite endurance athlete I find that the ketone esters from HVMN work extremely well for recovery between hard efforts. While many athletes seem to be interested in their ability to improve performance by ingesting them during an event, it seems that the real magic is in the supplement's ability to activate mTOR and help with protein re-synthesis.
If you're an endurance athlete and aren't using this supplement for recovery then you are missing out.
HVMN is definitely easier to stomach than some of the other products out there and works just as well if not better.”
“I am using the ketone ester to support my attempt to maintain a keto-diet. I am using novamax blood ketone test strips to measure my ketone levels. When my first package of 3 esters arrived, I played around with doses and blood ketones measures over the course of one week. Described below is how I was able to find it useful: I started with .01 baseline blood ketone level as evidenced by the test strips while trying to obtain ketosis via the diet. I do intermittent fast from 9pm to 1ish, daily. I struggled to maintain the fast past 11am. I took my test prior to food and supplements and it was .02. To help stave off hunger, I would take a swig of the ester followed by a water chaser. My tests showed 2.3 blood ketones. I was able to fast through 1 pm and the ester would wear off after a couple of hours. I then proceeded with eating between 1pm and 9pm daily. Over the past two weeks I have been able to increase my baseline ketone level to .6 during times that the ester has cycled down, I believe that the esters worked proactively to increase my body’s ketone system resulting in an increased baseline ketone without supplements.
Summary: The esters work well to supress my appetite.
During ester cycle use my blood ketones rise by 1.7-2.2 with swig doses. I usually get 4 per bottle.
My baseline off the ester has risen enough for me to loose 10 lbs over 40 days, with a consistent loss weekly of 1.2 lbs. per week to date.
I have ordered more and will continue to supplement with it while working towards my goal weight.”
“I took one bottle each day I did my 100+ mile bike ride days. I rode Seattle to Portland in 2 days. On the second day, I actually took a second bottle (although it wasn't a full 2.2 fl oz due to shipping disaster reasons) and I found it hard to sustain energy when my heart rate was above 169 bpm. I kept feeling like the ketone's wanted to keep my HR at 149-154 to be in a some sweet aerobic zone. Anyway, the product worked as I suspected and I felt lasting energy for about 5 hours. I supplemented with gels to keep my calories on the carb/sugar side up so I wasn't starving. Overall, this is a good product and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try this out - especially for bicycling/endurance event type sports. Lastly, they were nice enough to ship me a new pack of ketones free of charge due to the shipping disaster - so that was extremely nice! This stuff ain't cheap!”
