“We love to go there as we are part of the Friends of Rietvlei. However, today was very disappointing. When we arrived there staff was sitting around at the back entrance into the curio shop-eating and drinking and having their own party. At first they said we are only entitled to the Rietvlei breakfast and no Omelettes. I know for a fact this is not true. In the end they agreed that I could have the Omelette. With the drinks they said only tea or coffee is allowed- no juice and no condensed milk coffee. After we ate they never came back to clear the table. We wanted more drinks so I had to go and look for the waiter to place the order. Then only the manager came to find out if everything is o.k. We explained our issues and his only reply was that it is the reason why he came because he sensed something was not o.k. When they cleared the table at last it was full of ants from the condiment tray. Today was a very disappointing experience and we we will think twice before going there again.”
