“We bought a Bruno Queen bed frame at the end of October, 2017.
The bed looks quite nice assembled. It's a good, clean, simple design, and feels nice and solid.
I do feel like the flat-pack design could use a bit of a rejig, and some of the internal finishing improved.
The design of the fixings to attach the side pieces of the frame to the bedhead and end frame are awkwardly designed and difficult to access. One nut, in particular, was impossible to screw in until the area around the nut was sanded back slightly.
The screw holes and bracket used to attach the centre support beam to the bedhead and end frames are also awkwardly positioned, essentially forcing you to screw in the beam on an angle.
It's a simple problem that would be avoided if the brackets didn't come already attached to the support beam.
The small vertical supporting leg for the central beam also had an improperly sunk female screwthread that simply fell out of the wood when I tried to attach the leg to the beam. I've had to purchase a plastic wall plug from a hardware store to get the female thread back in.
I've put together a fair bit of flat pack furniture over the years, and the Bruno definitely has the least intuitive and functional design I've encountered. Nice looking bed, though!”
