When I first moved into my city apartment I fell trapped to the cheaper options (FF) and within two years the table was squeaking and chair material was wasting away. Needing replacement pronto, I found Icon By Design and ordered the Solid Oak Hilda Dining Table and Astrid Dining Chairs in Sage Green. And Oh. My. Word. what a combo they are! I was hesitant about ordering online because I am a person who needs to FEEL things however living in Brisbane that wasn't possible...But, this was the easiest shopping experience ever - from the customer support team who walked me through which table and chairs to get via the phone (and then encouraged me to use their VR feature to see the set in my home!), the text messages updating me every step of the delivery, to the white glove delivery team who constructed the table in under 20 minutes (and took the cardboard boxes with them!!). I'm so happy with my purchase, I'm obsessed with the Scandinavian Design, and the table is the perfect fit in my smaller apartment. The glass top opens up the space and the quality is another level, I know this table will last me a lifetime! For what you get, the price is unbeatable AND they have regular sales. “The furniture is fantastic quality for the price, stylish as well. The service was great and the delivery prompt and within the time advised. We have, in the past, looked at places like Harvey Norman for certain items, but have not been tempted. They are much more expensive, and not pieces of comparable quality (ie solid timber) and are not as well designed or elegant. Some things go out of fashion very quickly, but your range is designed to last. Well deserved 5 stars.”

“I would give an overall 4.5 stars. I ordered an extendable table, 4 chairs and a bench. It came a month earlier than expected, which is not bad, but did not have the room ready yet. When I received the shipment, one chair was missing. They remedied the issue fairly quickly and with ease. I would give 5+ stars on customer service. The delivery experience was also 5 stars, they make it easy to schedule your delivery time and bring it right into your home. They offered to unpack as well, but I declined knowing my husband would want to put it together. The quality of furniture is 4 stars. Two chairs, where the wood layers have been pressed together are slightly rough to the touch. With time this may need to be sanded so not to snag clothing. The cushions could use a little more plushness. Overall, for the price and service I would give 4.5 stars.”
