Your sizing is a bit generous, so I would advise a first time customer to allow enough time before an event to return for a different size if need be. I will be wearing this to a wedding and my 25th reunion next month. Your dresses very tactfully cover common "problem areas" such as upper arms and belly, without looking like they're trying to. Two years ago my dress came in a flat box which my cat STILL has as his bed.”
“This dress is very pretty. The color is beautiful and the fabric is so comfortable. The problem I had was that I felt I would be "adjusting" myself all day because of the deep neckline and although it says you can wear it off the shoulder, I didn't want to wear a strapless bra. Consequently, keeping the dress in place was a problem because it kept sliding off my shoulders exposing bra/spanx straps. I went according to the size chart and ordered a size smaller than I would normally wear and it fit perfectly otherwise. Had to send it back because I just wasn't satisfied with the style.”
“It is beautiful , well made and has enough weight that it drapes and falls nicely off my body. Just too big I normally wear 26-28 I ordered a size 30 I'm fairly busty. Well wrong!! This was huge and I'm no little woman . Definetly order correct size or even smaller . Don't wait till last minute like I did , had to go back and they are sold out of almost everything in my size . Learned my lesson tho !!”
“I just purchased the Francesca Dress in Black and it arrived today - about a 4 day turn around with no special delivery method. I have been watching this dress for over 5 months. I watch it and it sell out and then they re-stock it and it sells out again. So finally I decided to bite the bullet and go ahead and purchase the dress. My only hesitation was I have not had any success with purchasing dresses on-line in the past. I had my measurements in hand and I checked out the size chart and I was really skeptical because I normally wear a size 18/20, but my measurement on the size chart says for me to order a 14/16. Mind you almost all of my 18/20 dresses has to go straight to the alteration lady before I could wear them. So that was another hesitation – do I order the size the chart says or do I order at least a size larger just to be sure. So after 5 months of debating I finally did it – I ordered the dress. I don’t like returning items so this was a major deal for me – I order the size IGIGI size chart said I should order - the size 14/16. _x000D_
When the box arrived I could hardly believe it was here and I could hardly wait to try the dress on. I took the dress out the box and at first glance the dress was not that impressive to look at. But I kept thinking positive saying - you have made the right decision in buying the dress and buying the size 14/16. So I tried the dress on and BABY WOW. This dress is as Gorgeous on me as it is on the on-line model. I am a BELIEVER and I am glad I am not the one to give the Francesca Dress in Black its first bad review. I kept saying to myself over 110 reviewers cannot be wrong, so go for it and I’m glad I did. My husband and I will be celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary on 11/30/11 and I will be wearing my new Francesca Black Dress out to dinner. This worked out so great I am searching for my next IGIGI purchase, I have a couple of things on my list, just trying to decide which one is next. This is the perfect LBD for a gal with curves. It arrived in only a few days and I can't wait to wear it for my staff Christmas party. “WOW!!!! I Love this dress. I originally ordered an 18/20; however, my hip measurements were in between the 18/20 and the 22/24. I received the 18/20, the top fit perfectly as I have a high waist; but the bottom was just a little too tight (unfortunately, I am one of those ladies whose bottom is much larger than their top) so I returned it for the 22/24 and it looks great, a little big at the top, but I have already taken it for alterations and now it’s the Perfect Little Black Dress! I am 5’9 and the length is perfect and it flows well. I plan to wear this dress on a cruise in January for the Captain’s dinner. I will definitely be the Belle of the Ball.
