“I couldn't wait to get this candle and was looking forward to getting my jewel. But unfortunately despite the smell was very nice my ring wasn't I was very upset to reveal a ring that looked like it was for a man I was very disappointed.
In future I think Imperial Candles should check what there suppliers have left in stock so this won't happen again and expect these limited edition candles to sell out quickly and to be prepared for it.”
“I remember the first time I bought my partner one of these, after she hinted that she'd get a ring from one! So off I went and got her one. She was hoping for a ring with a blue gem but out popped a red one. She wasn't disappointed and she loved it and still wears it to this day!
A while ago I decided to, as a surprise, get her another candle with another ring within it. Unfortunately this attempt didn't yield a very nice looking ring and she was quite disappointed. But I did point out that this is a random, luck of the draw kind of process and we moved on.
Recently I decided, again, as a surprise, to give it one final go and pre-order her the fancy looking Unicorn candle that was marketed as a guaranteed rose gold ring with a gem. What came out was truly horrible. A rose gold ring (as advertised) but zero gem. Just some odd tiny little sparkles peeking through a ring with the top half probably just as thick as two of my fingers! When she put it on I was concerned she'd be able to one-hit KO me if she clipped me with it when going in for a hug. Needless to say, it's now wallowing in the corner of our room, looking glum that no one loves it. But hey, can't win them all. I think we'll be giving these candles a miss now as each time I seem to pay more for one, and get something more horrible than the last.
I'm sure there will be someone who will get a lovely one, and be very happy with it, but unfortunately that person isn't my girlfriend and these surprises I planned, had the complete opposite effect.”
