“Mat was what I wanted. Picture was fine but the color seemed off a bit. Too light if you ask me. Also it smells so bad if I leave it in a clear tube. I have to take it out 30 minutes prior to playing to let it air out.”

“Now, my only experience when it comes to playmats is official UltraPro stuff. And if it were between an ultrapro pre-print, factory made art piece and getting to choose my own image (which I do!) for the same price, inked playmats wins hands down. However, there are minor issues. I chose a very bright and colorful image for my playmat, and this has posed issue. The fine details looked excellent initially, but have since begun to blur - as well as this, the extremely bright colors of the mat have begun to fade slightly. Only noticeable to myself, really, as I'm the only one who spends hours a week looking at it, but it is still slightly noticeable. Overall, however, this is still one of the best MTG-related purchases I've ever made. The mat itself is high quality and has been tear and thread free, and I would absolutely purchase one again.”

“Today, I'm extremely happy with my playmat. The reproduction of the image was more vibrant and detailed than I was expecting! However, be prepared for it to smell weird for a while. I tried washing mine in the washer a couple of times (risking wrinkles), and it did little to reduce the odor. Several weeks later, the playmat smell is basically tolerable. I tried washing it, airing it out, and storing it in a tube with some desiccant capsules—I'm not sure which helped the most. I think time is the main factor. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. I just wish I knew in advance how much it was going to smell, before taking it out in public!”
