“I tried out the playmat today. It's my first playmat so I wasn't sure what to expect. Texture and printing is nice, and the stitched edging gives it a quality feel. There are many playmats out there, but few are left handed and most beginner mats only list the rules in a vague manner. I find this one to be specific, which is useful for teaching my kids to play. I thought the mat would be thicker, but it seems fine (1/8"?) and rolls up easily without getting stuck in a "curled" shape when you unroll it. So what is my knitpick? I would have liked the planewalker box to be a commander and the Library and Exile boxes swapped. So I just tell my other players that I'm swapping them before I start, but since the mat is custom, it would have been great to take it one step further and designate the labels to the boxes myself. My mat was $35 plus tax and shipping, iirc. My son's playmat was half the price and thicker, but it did not have the features I wanted. I do not regret my purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants a mat with the rules and/or likes to play left handed.”
