“We were previously doing our (wet) transfers for 90 minutes but have now cut this down to 30 minutes with the InstantBlot transfer buffer. Since we are using the DCX-700, we have to limit the current to 190 mA. At this current, the transfer takes 30 minutes but advertised times (if you're able to use a higher current) are as low as 20 minutes (although we haven't tested this). In our 30 minute transfers, we clearly see our protein ladder on the membrane and have successfully detected our target proteins reliably.”
