I’m a bug magnet - all insects love to bite me. I am so happy that I could treat 14 items for a reasonable price and quick turnaround. Love the labels sewn in the clothing indicating that they have been treated and printed on socks. Such a great surprise - I didn’t expect it. None of my clothing shrunk. Very happy that I am protected now.

Knocked out. Such an amazing service. Easy, affordable, prompt, and a miracle product that 100% works. I received the bag and was able to put 15 items in it. All summer, light weight items, so I think I get the award for the most items. I put 5 sundresses, 2 shorts, 1 small twin sized bedsheet, 4 shirts, 2 leggings, 1 scarf wrap. Everything was returned in about 3 weeks and I went on my vacation with confidence I wouldn't be bothered by mosquitos. Not one bite. I called a few times to inquire about items I wanted to have treated. Customer service was top notch. I recommend this service to everyone. Free shipping both ways. Oh, something I really, really appreciated... They sew an Insect Shield clothing tag into each and every item!!! I was wondering what sort of marking I could discretely put on each piece so that I would always know for sure which ones I could wear around bugs. They took care of it for me and sewed a very nice label on the inside seam of each item. Problem solved... Brilliant!

It definitely works! But be aware that the weave/texture of the clothing you send makes a difference too. Not all the clothes work as well for me - very thin polyester pants still allow for a few mosquito bites when tight to my skin. However, I'll take a few bites over a swarm. The best part is that when I'm sitting in one place for a while the swarm seems to get less and less. Agree with other reviewers that my clothes shrank an insignificant amount, if at all. I'll keep sending in more stuff until all my summer clothes are bug-proof!

I sent off a bundle of my clothes. I live in CA and received it back within 2 weeks. The clothing did not shrink. They sewed an insect shield label into the clothing to help me remember which items were treated. Love this!

My husband & I used the easy packs to treat ALL our clothes that we packed for an African Safari (except undergarments). I even treated our pajamas and socks. I was so worried about shrinking the clothes, but in our experience none of the clothes shrank at all. Although it says not to treat hand wash or dry clean only clothing, I took the risk and treated several smart wool shirts and those didn't shrink either. Safari was wonderful and I never even used the bug spray I brought with us. I am totally sold on Insect Shield! One tip for determining how many easy packs you need--I recommend getting a large envelope with same or similar dimensions (I had just received one from Amazon, so I used that), and I saw how much I could stuff into it before I ordered. I believe I used one Easy Pack for me, but got 2 for my husband's clothes since they're much larger.

I’m an avid gardener and am constantly dealing with ticks. I bought some treated clothing and also sent some of my clothes in to be treated. I was able to put 3 pairs of pants, 1 pair of shorts, and 3 t-shirts (one was long sleeved) into the bag for treatment. I really got my money’s worth. So far so good—no ticks! My next step was to send some of my husband’s clothes off for treatment. We’re very satisfied.

I’m in the woods multiple times a week (and sometimes per day!) and often close to the ground photographing wildflowers. Now I can do so with the confidence that no ticks are going to crawl up my clothing and evade my naked searches like they have in the past. The flat-rate pack had more than enough room for five pairs of summer hiking pants, five shirts, four pairs of socks, and a couple of bamboo arm sleeves. I did regret not shoving more in there after IThere was a problem with one item when they were returned, and customer service was extraordinarily prompt in resolving the issue. Even before I ordered, I was telling everyone in the local hiking club about InsectShield; that’s even truer now. I love that the company provides such a professional service and that I get to wear my favorite clothing instead of having to spend much more money ordering new treated clothing. Seventy washes will be more than the life of most of my clothes!

I live in an area where I routinely get multiple ticks on my clothing every year. I usually treat with permethrin myself but it’s a repetitive hassle since I’m out in the woods almost every single day all day. And to buy pretreated clothing is a more expensive option for me since I have a lot of older clothing I can still use. Wow. I now have 4 complete outfits including socks bandanas and a hoodie all treated … enough for 2 years if the clothing holds out! What a relief. And the nicest surprise is that Insect Shield ironed labels onto my socks and sewed insect shield labels onto my clothing! This way I don’t have to keep track of which clothes were treated. And as far as shrinkage I didn’t notice much of any if at all. This may be because I sent in clothing that was already well worn and had been through many washings before. I would gladly pay $100.00 dollars not to have a disgusting dirty tick embedded in my skin any day of the week! Super impressed.
