Insect Shield Your Clothes - Easy Packs 1 Pack Reviews

4.8 Rating 182 Reviews
I was able to fit 12 pairs of thick, knee high boot socks, 4 shirts, and 1 pair of shorts into the 19x14 bag. Was sent an email as soon as my items arrived at Insect Shield. Was sent an email stating my items had been treated and were on the way back to me. Tracking number was also provided. I am super happy with the service. The ticks have been out in full force this year. Doing yard work, cutting brush, using a walk behind brush mower is less stressful now that I have Insect Shield treated clothing to protect me. Looking forward to sending in my overalls at the end of the season to be treated. Highly recommend the mail in service of my own clothing and have also purchased some pants from Insect Shield directly.

Mosquitoes much? I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We call ourselves “Yoopers” and we shoot “skeeters” with 22’s all summer long. True, Insect Shield has taken some of the fun outta hunting season. But it’s a trade-off with hiking (no longer sprinting for cover), reading in the hammock (novels, not just the funny papers), and drinking a whole can of beer (none gets spilled while swatting). Insect Shield; the skeeter war’s won.

I use this bag about once every 18mo to send a shipment of my family's clothes I want treated, and it fits all of them (for now). Two adult pants, two adult shirts, and a selection of pants, socks and shirts for three kids under 7 all fit just right. It's most cost-effective for small clothes, as large adult pants quickly take up a lot of room in the bag. Such a great product, and such a great service. Thank you!!

I was a bit dubious about fitting 15 items into a pouch, mailing it off, and waiting to receive my expensive items mailed back to me. However, it all worked like a charm. Although I did not receive the form one is supposed to fill out when returning the items, I called Customer Service and was told to print the order and write an inventory on that. I was able to fit into the bag: 1 cotton vest, 3 pairs of safari pants, 2 safari shirts, 3 pairs of sock liners, 1 neck gaiter, 1 scarf, 2 pairs of hiking leggings, and 2 pairs of linen joggers! The bag closed easily but I did reinforce the sides with tape just to be sure it didn’t get burst if UPS decided to throw it. Communication was perfect on Insect Shield’s side: I was notified when it was received and when it was shipped back to me. It did NOT take very long to get my items back: it only took them 4 days to process/ship once they received my items. The clothes all came back with Insect Shield labels sewn in or the logo stamped (on the socks), just so you know. I did remove all of those, but do note that they will sew them onto scarves where it may be visible. The treatment left a mild smell which dissipated upon airing the clothes. The stuff came back in a box (I was glad it wasn’t stuffed back in a mailer pouch again).

I am absolutely thrilled with how well this worked out for my kids. I was able to hand pick clothes I knew my kids were comfortable in & have them treated. My children have some sensory sensitivities when it comes to seems & how clothes fit, this was an absolute perfect option for me. Much more cost efficient as well! They sew little tags in so there is no risk of mixing them up and I have more peace of mind with them running through the NH woods. I was able to get 15 item in 1 mailer, there was almost no shrinkage, the clothes don't feel weird to the touch or have an odor, which would absolutely be a problem for my kids. I will absolutely be purchasing another mailer in the future. As someone who has had lymes take a family members young child's life and my husband having his own battle with lymes knowing my kids are safer from bug borne illnesses is worth every penny!

I’m a bug magnet - all insects love to bite me. I am so happy that I could treat 14 items for a reasonable price and quick turnaround. Love the labels sewn in the clothing indicating that they have been treated and printed on socks. Such a great surprise - I didn’t expect it. None of my clothing shrunk. Very happy that I am protected now.

Knocked out. Such an amazing service. Easy, affordable, prompt, and a miracle product that 100% works. I received the bag and was able to put 15 items in it. All summer, light weight items, so I think I get the award for the most items. I put 5 sundresses, 2 shorts, 1 small twin sized bedsheet, 4 shirts, 2 leggings, 1 scarf wrap. Everything was returned in about 3 weeks and I went on my vacation with confidence I wouldn't be bothered by mosquitos. Not one bite. I called a few times to inquire about items I wanted to have treated. Customer service was top notch. I recommend this service to everyone. Free shipping both ways. Oh, something I really, really appreciated... They sew an Insect Shield clothing tag into each and every item!!! I was wondering what sort of marking I could discretely put on each piece so that I would always know for sure which ones I could wear around bugs. They took care of it for me and sewed a very nice label on the inside seam of each item. Problem solved... Brilliant!

It definitely works! But be aware that the weave/texture of the clothing you send makes a difference too. Not all the clothes work as well for me - very thin polyester pants still allow for a few mosquito bites when tight to my skin. However, I'll take a few bites over a swarm. The best part is that when I'm sitting in one place for a while the swarm seems to get less and less. Agree with other reviewers that my clothes shrank an insignificant amount, if at all. I'll keep sending in more stuff until all my summer clothes are bug-proof!
