Very good results with past clothes treated by Insect Shield. Let’s hope ticks and chiggers hate this product! I fit 6 thin pairs of pants and 6 pairs of socks into one bag.

With global warming bugs are getting worse in the mountains where I live. I have always used Deet which is not so good for us.This year I discovered Insect Shield , send your clothes in and have them treated with permethrin. Brilliant, perfect and IT WORKS! It actually is far more effective than deet and you do not have to race home to shower (when camping there is no shower). I will never go back to the old way with this service available. Thank you Insect Shield.

I won't go on another backpacking trip without treated clothes ever again. Normally, I am a mosquito's favorite flavor and I am quickly covered in bites. Wearing treated clothes was like wearing a protective forcefield and watching swarms of mosquitos circle me but never land. "TAKE THAT YOU SLIMY B@ST@RDS!" I cannot sing the praises of Insect Shield enough! *Disclaimer: to set review readers' expectations - I did get 4 mosquito bites this year. Two of which were through the treated clothing, and two were on my hands. In years prior to the discovery of Insect Shield, I would be unable to count the number of mosquito bites in one day, let alone the whole trip. Also, I rarely see ticks on the West Coast but I know they're becoming more of a concern, seeing how effective Insect Shield is with mosquitos gives me peace of mind about harmful ticks. And I can't forget to mention A+++ customer service. Thank you, Insect Shield!

Do purchase and use services and products. It's worth it. I bought a jacket and had a shirt treated. What baffles me, though, is having a $9.00 charge to treat a personally owned shirt, (fine) but then having an $8+ fee for shipping back to me my own treated shirt through the U.S. Postal Service, no less! Good stuff, good work, anticipate effective use, but shipping in this case was more than a tad outrageous.

As they state, this is great value for the smaller things like many pairs of socks. I was able to fit about four shirts, eight pairs of socks, and two pairs of lightweight pants.

This product is amazing and works exceptionally well sent clothing in for our kids too and it's nice to be outside when the bugs are out the most. Don't have to worry about bites and spraying deterants around our small kids. Will be definitely sending in more clothing earlier next year! More enjoyable days outside in the summer time!

I had a tick borne illness in June, and was delighted to find a way to fight future bites! After sending in our clothing, it was remarkable how quickly the folks at Insect+Shield treated them and shipped them back. Now I'm protected while working outside, and am glad to let go of constant worry. I have not found any ticks on me when using the garments that were treated. I saved money because I didn't have to buy pre-treated clothing that I would have been afraid of messing up. My old work clothes are now my super Insect+Shields! Thank you!
