“Very comfortable. I have relatively large calves and they stayed up all day.
There was a problem with the shipping company (not Insect Shield's fault). Insect Shield went above and beyond to solve the problem and get me my purchase in a timely fashion. I appreciate their extra step.
My only complaint is that the website makes my ad blocker/tracker blow up. 20+ tracking actitvities were blocked just on the home page.”
“These are strong, solid socks at a fair price. I appreciate having them in black since I mostly wear tick-repellent leggings with them. The peace of mind the socks offer me is priceless. I always keep some on hand for out-of-town guests as well”
“I know you won’t believe these insect shield socks keep ticks away but they do!!! I have sprayed my socks for years and always managed to have a tick crawling on me! Not this year since I’ve been wearing the insect shield socks in the garden and photographing in nature. I wear the socks over my pants when I’m outside! I absolutely believe in this product!”
“We live in an area with sandy soil. We often get no-see-ums that can even make their way into the house, especially the kitchen. These socks I wear all year around for protection agains no-see-ums. They are very comfortable and I love the fact that they are cotton.
I wear them every day. I even gave them as Christmas presents!
I also use the Insect shield spray, which is excellent.
No bad smell and very effective.
I highly recommend both.”
“Before the spring I stock up on these for hikes and gardening. Ticks often travel from the shoes up, so in addition to spraying my hiking/trailing/gardening shoes/boots with permetherin I like to stick to wearing these socks. Found they also do a good job of keeping the flying bugs away from my ankles and shins! When it is cool enough I pull them over insect shield leggings for full protection. I buy the white so I can see what has crawled onto my socks. (took off one star because I find that they are not particularly durable and last one long season before I have to replace them).”
