(Spraying your shoes with Insect Shield Permethirin spray should be your 1st). Having been bitten (eaten alive) by chiggers before an excruciating itch that lasts 1 month or longer. 4. If I were only getting one item, it would be socks
5. Three colors, I like the tan best, but also the white, since ticks would show up on them
