“Getting the clothes professionally treated is so much easier and longer lasting than spray-it-yourself. Tucking the pant legs into the socks and wearing long sleeve shirts - zero chiggers, even when venturing into high grass. While chiggers are merely a maddening annoyance, where chiggers live, there are ticks as well that carry disease. I only spray-it-myself for the tent floor and sides (Insect Shield does not treat non-clothing items.”
“Despite use of other approaches (tucking pants in socks, using double sided tape, applying DEET, doing tick checks, etc.), I kept getting bitten by ticks. Now I have numerous outfits and treated coveralls that I have incorporated into my daily attire for farming, gardening, and hiking. It's been very helpful for me to have a plan for preventing tick bites that is highly effective and easy to implement.”
“Easy process. Very satisfied with the end result. Was supposed to receive an email when the item eas shipped, but didn't. This may have been due to the fact that my pants were shipped without the requested embroidery. I was credited with the funds I had paid for embroidery, but it was disappointing.”
“I use DYI for my adult son's birthday gift every year! He works outdoors in field and forest, so I want him to stay tick free. I have Clothes for the outdoors I DIY as well. I appreciate how IS informs me our order qrrived at their place, and the quick turn around is a help in the process. I supplement by treating our shoes, sock tops, hats, and gear every 5 weeks. I've figure the cost of DIY with IS compares favorably with trying to do my own at home over time.”
