“Wow!!! Incredibly fast turn around time and customer service!! This is so much better than going out to the garage and spraying it myself , and it lasts so much longer!!!
We travel a lot to areas where ticks and mosquitos are abundant, so this is a FIND for us. Thank you for all you do! You are amazing!!!
Highly recommend this company, and am telling all my hunting and hiking family and friends!!!”
“Living in Tickville, CT, I have had all my outdoor clothes treated. Hiking socks, pants, shorts, shirts, etc. have been treated. The only time I found a tick on me in 2023 was when I was not wearing my Insect Shield treated clothes. Worth the price and peace of mind.”
“Apprehensive of the process at first so I called numerous times to get all my questions answered and the girls answered every one of them with great patience and knowledge. So I sent 7 single items to them, they applied the insect shield and sent items back. The whole process from start to finish was under a week - and there was no odor whatsoever. Very little shrinkage because all items were washed before being sent! I would definitely recommend this company. Kept me informed when they received my items and when they shipped them to me.
Just have to wait until mosquitoes come in spring to see if permethrin really works!”
“I've used products treated by Insect Shield through a third-party seller and been very satisfied. That seller went out of business, so I placed an order to have *my* clothes treated directly by Insect Shield. Their prices seemed a bit high to me ( $9 to treat a pair of socks???), but the service is vital to me; I hike outdoors a lot in what is locally referred to as "Tick Central". USPS got my clothes to them on a Monday and on the following Thursday they shipped them back to me. They chose UPS which is much better than the alternative, and I had my clothes back 8 days after I shipped them out.
They stamped my sock with their logo and warnings, and sewed a tag into the jeans and T-shirt with the same logo and warnings. I didn't pay extra for that; they did it gratis.
It's hard to prove a negative, but I've had 6 ticks on me through the years and always when I was wearing untreated clothes...inversely, I've *NEVER* had a tick on me while wearing treated clothes. Not absolute proof, but enough to get me to treat a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and a pair of socks.
Why not a 5? They ought to discount socks. Again, $9 to treat something I paid $1 for seems a bit excessive.”
“We have sent our yardwork and hiking clothes off every year to Insect Shield in late winter to have them professionally permethrin them. While we also purchase permethrin spray for our less used clothing, we find the treatment of clothes very frequently worn in high-risk places has been VERY effective; have never found any ticks on us! Insect Shield has good sales and fast response/return of treated clothing. We100% recommend mailing in your clothes for this excellent months-long tick protection!”
“No more bites! Thank you for saving my body from pesky mosquito and chigger bites! I sent in 7 pieces of my own clothes for treatment and got them back within 10 days. Dang! Really, No more bites!!! I was able to go birding in the woods and didn't get bit! The only bite I got was on my hand- do you have gloves for sale? Seriously, this is the best thing I could have done for myself and I wish I had know about this years ago! A must have for any birder going out into nature. Will definitely re-treat my clothes when it's time. Thanks!”
“This was a very easy process to use, after completing the online order, I simply packed up the items and shipped them off (that was almost half the cost of the treatment). They were returned in less than a week. Easy item with a tag indicating they were treated with Insect Shield, which is a great help for sorting out clothing!
I used the per piece method to treat 5 large bulky items, jeans, long hiking pants, and heavier shirts. I think this is more economical than the “fill the bag” method for bulky items.
I will use this again!”
