“It's time to re-treat the clothes. This is the first time I have gotten chiggers in a while, which tells me that those 70 washes are up. It's been about 5 years since I last treated these clothes - great value. I live in Missouri and go hiking in the Ozarks - plenty of chiggers and ticks out there.”
“Ive been sending clothing to Insect Shield for a number of years (i forget, lyme will do that to you). Ot is easy to get them ready, a quick turnaround time, and everything arrives nicely folded. Why every year? Some family members wear out work clothes in a season, my body changes, I increase my outdoor wardrobe an item or two as needed. The clothing comes back with a nice long twg, so I know to specail lauder them and hang them out of the sun to dry (and keep them visble). I am able to relax outdoors, camping, or doing green up day because I know my clothing is tick protected. thank you!”
“This takes the anxiety out of summer for me. We live way out in southern Missouri where the ticks are phenomenally bad. It is surreal. But now I feel like I have on tick armour. So wonderful to not worry about every little tickle I feel. No stopping to check for ticks every 10 minutes. No more worries about getting yet another tick disease. What a relief!”
“Three times I've sent clothing to be "shielded." I did this because our sizes weren't currently available in the clothing that is already treated. Once the package arrived, it was only a few days turnaround (excluding the weekend). You don't need to order the tags. They put tags on the clothing, which isn't clear on the order. This is nice so you don't confuse your treated jeans with your non-treated ones. One warning: The clothes shrink at least one size. Do not send your regular size. Always send a size up. I highly recommend Insect Shield. The only time I've gotten a tick this year was when I didn't have them on.”
