I live in Maine and already have Insect Shield clothes for yard and woods work but nothing for just casual wear. So I sent in a pair of pants and a shirt. I think the whole turn around time was two weeks. Great service!

Previously, the somewhat long label inside was sewn too close to the top of the jeans. As a result, the tag often ends up being exposed while wearing the jeans. I would keep poking them down, but the labels always worked themselves back up exposing part of them for all to see. This last pair of treated jeans had the label placed further down and the problem is solved.

I'm a generally happy repeat customer. The only improvement I can suggest is that it would be nice if the customer could pick from a short list of colors for the labels imprinted on the socks. Why? When there are the same socks from more than one order that are being laundered, having different colors for different lots allows me to pair them by the date they were treated. As an alternative, include in the imprint placed on socks the month and day of treatment. This would take care of the pairing issue and give the customer some idea how long they have been wearing them.

I'm an outdoor educator and although I do my best to avoid prime tick habitat in my programs, I cannot avoid them completely. I started using this two years ago and have only found 1 tick on me since. Now every year I make sure to get a selection of clothes for my partner and children treated too. The peace of mind this gives us is incredible. I'm so glad Insect Shield offers this treatment.

My farm in Kentucky is a tick cluster,I have alpha gal (red meat allergy)it's from tick bits from the lone star tick,I've had it for three years,it's finally getting better,Doctor said it will go away on its own in or before 5 years but if I get another tick bite it may never go away, had my clothes treated and got my golden retriever a shirt haven't seen a tick since I used your service, this may lead to a normal life eating meat and dairy again,if you live in the south do your self a favor and treat your clothes.

To be able to send in the clothes you want treated and have them returned treated, with "Insect Shield" stamped or stitched on your clothing is an ingenious creation!

I'm a wildlife biologist mostly working on eastern Long Island where there is a very high population of deer and lone star ticks and a very high incidence of tick-related illnesses. I've been using insect shield clothing for over five years to keep me safe. The cotton canvas cargo pants are also very durable, an important factor in my field work that involves a lot of bushwhacking through thickets. Just had a pair retreated earlier this winter in time for the 2022 field season: surveying for river otters and spotted turtles. Insect Shield gear is the best!

I’ve retreated my favorite gear after the previous treatment a few years ago. I just came back from Panama where others encountered ticks and chiggers. I had no issues. I do see insects walking on my pant legs every now and then without being obviously bothered. But I have never gotten ticks or mosquitoes so it works where it matters.
