“Our rural home is surrounded by farms and neighbors with ponds and standing water. Mosquitoes are so bad this year that we walk out into a cloud of them near sunrise and sunset, and with a young puppy we have to go outside frequently. I put my insect shield clothing on right over my summer clothes early and late in the day. I put on the yoga pants and tuck them into boots, cover my head and most of my face with the wrap scarf leaving the area around my eyes open, and then the hoodie. I also pull the sleeves down over my hands so the only exposed skin is around my eyes. I quickly discovered that while outside with our pup I have to use a windshield motion with my hand to keep the mosquito swarm away from my eyes, and I let the permethrin take care of the ones landing on me. The mosquitoes we have here are not at all repelled by the clothing, they land by the dozens every second, but they quickly fall off. So far I’ve only had one bite while wearing these clothes and that was the first time I wore them. Since then I’ve had great success.”
