“As a full time nature and wildlife photographer, I am in wooded areas almost every day. This hat has kept ticks and other pests off my head thankfully. Since I also have Insect Shield shorts, pants and socks, I no longer have to use permethrin spray on my clothes...only good for six washings. Seventy washings for Insect Shield. My hat is off to Insect Shield...unless I'm outdoors.”
“An insect repellent hat that provides shade and is lightweight and comfortable should be on every Floridian’s hat rack ! There are two on mine and one goes with me when I travel to the mountains, the gnats are pretty heavy there. The olive hat for woods wear and the light khaki for out in the sun. I probably better get a navy one too.
