“I have been utilizing this product for at least a couple of years now. I find it to be exceedingly effective, rarely do I find any ticks on myself after having spent time outdoors when I use this spray. Now before I even step off the porch I grab the can any time I plan on being in areas where I know it is likely ticks will be found. “i live in florida by the coast & river!! i was plagued by mosquitoes & NO SEE UMS(NSU)!! Highly allergic - welts the size of quarters via the skeeters & itching that would wake me from sleep curtsy of the NSU! “I was very happy with the amount of items I was able to spray with one can. Two work vests, two pairs of boots, two backpacks, and two hats. I did read on an email from insect shield that stated during tick seasons experts recommend spraying shoes every 30 days, which I will do. We have been working in some very thick wooded areas (we also wear long sleeve shirts and pants from insect shield) and we have not found a tick sense using insect shield products. I bought one can of Insect Shield for a test run, to see if it actually work; and to my surprise, not only does it work, but it is absolutely amazing ~
I sprayed my boots, pants, bivvy bag, sleeping bag, long sleeve shirt, baseball hat, and a skull cap, and have not had a problem with bugs while sleeping at night; in addition, I have not had a problem with bugs during the day wearing my long sleeve shirts, cap, and skull cap...I can stand/sit under trees all days without any problems ~
I understand the difference between the "Built-In" & "Spray" and I actually prefer the spray since I mainly need it for my sleeping system, boots, cap/skull cap, and it suits me just fine ~
