“I was very happy with the amount of items I was able to spray with one can. Two work vests, two pairs of boots, two backpacks, and two hats. I did read on an email from insect shield that stated during tick seasons experts recommend spraying shoes every 30 days, which I will do. We have been working in some very thick wooded areas (we also wear long sleeve shirts and pants from insect shield) and we have not found a tick sense using insect shield products. Prior to using the insectshield clothing and spray we were finding 2-3 ticks at the end of the work day. Very happy with all of our purchases.”

I sleep outside year round, and during the summer, the bugs are terrible in every aspect of life ~
I bought one can of Insect Shield for a test run, to see if it actually work; and to my surprise, not only does it work, but it is absolutely amazing ~
I sprayed my boots, pants, bivvy bag, sleeping bag, long sleeve shirt, baseball hat, and a skull cap, and have not had a problem with bugs while sleeping at night; in addition, I have not had a problem with bugs during the day wearing my long sleeve shirts, cap, and skull cap...I can stand/sit under trees all days without any problems ~
I understand the difference between the "Built-In" & "Spray" and I actually prefer the spray since I mainly need it for my sleeping system, boots, cap/skull cap, and it suits me just fine ~
I plan to purchase several of the two-pack of the spray soon for the rest of the summer/fall, and to have be prepared for next Spring/Summer in advance ~
Another important feature of Insect Shield, is that it is odorless which doesn't cause breathing/respiratory problems, unlike Off and other bug sprays ~

“I had undiagnosed Lymes for many years. So I’m taking the intellectual approach and using an effective deterrent . I watched some very kamakazi ants try to walk past the line I put as boarder on my ground cover around my tent, they would take runs at it and fail to pass it. Used my second bottle and very happy big able to sleep in bugging conditions. Alway have some on me, in case I camp at a place that has a lot of pests.”
“The product definitely made a difference. One can covered 3 hats, 1 shirt, 2 pair of socks, and 1 pair of gym shoes. My daughter also wore 1 pair of Insect Shield infused pants from ExOfficio and slept in a Sea to Summit Insect Shield CoolMax Adaptor sleeping bag liner. She used these items on a 7 day kayak trip on Lake Huron in Ontario, 2 days of which poured rain.
I would have to say the product worked because she had no ticks and she did notice that mosquitos and black flies approached but did not land on her. In fact, she had the fewest amount of bites of the 15 traveling in the group (she did not wear the protected clothing 100% of the time).
