“Just treated some clothes in preparation for an upcoming trip. I had 2 cans, 6 oz each of this permethin. Each can is advertised to treat approximately 2 outfits, but I could barely get 2 outfits treated with 2 cans. Now I see that Sawyer says 6 oz treats 1 outfit.”
“Some of the permethrin sprays in pump bottles are so liquid it takes awhile for items to feel dry. This one seems more aerosolized, as it had a fine mist which
dried pretty quickly. I used it on a couple hats and it worked great. It did not permeate the fabrics with any bad odors.”
“I experienced Lyme's disease when I lived in Connecticut several years ago. I wasn't in the state 30 days when I had a tick burrowed into my armpit- of all places! (I guess there are worse?) Fortunately, I scheduled a doctor appointment soon after and he started me on a round of antibiotics and later, I tested negative post treatment. A year or so later, while shopping for fishing gear I noticed a rack of insect shield shirts. I bought socks, shirts, pants and spray. Since using these amazing products and living in New England, where the population of deer ticks has exploded, I have not had one on me since using these products. I've also easily convinced my fishing buddies who trout fish the bluelines in Vermont, New York and New Hampshire to invest in these products. As I am retired and I do not believe I would risk fishing in these wonderful places without this protection from the risk of so many tick-born diseases now days. These products work great on mosquito attacks as well. Fished near the Appalachian trail a couple of weeks ago, with the mosquitos humming like a squadron of bombers without one landing on me. These insect shield products protect you like full body armour. Wouldn't go into the bush without it!”
