“I purchased two of these blankets. One for my daughter and granddaughter one for myself. We live in upstate N.Y. where the tick population has grown in the past few years to where they everywhere. Not just in the fields or forest. We find them climbing on chairs outside cars everywhere. We are using these blankets while we are outdoors under us around us. Extra protection on top of permethrin. “I used it to sit on at an outside concert. Although it did not keep away all bugs (I found a firefly actually crawling on it.) and my friend sitting next to me said her feet were getting bitten by mosquitoes, I did not get bitten -- and I normally would be feasted on by mosquitoes. So I do think it offered some significant protection. I don't think ticks were a particular danger here since they keep the grass cropped and hold outside concerts there regularly, but I do think it helped! Worth it to make the outside more comfortable.”
