Also didn't do anything to repel ticks, as I had to pick a few off my sleeves. Don't count on this shirt giving you protection. Wear and pack insect repellent instead.”
We are sorry to hear this shirt didn't function as you expected. The way permethrin-treated clothing works is by over-exciting an insect's nervous system. It doesn't always keep an insect from landing on you, but rather when an insect encounters permethrin, it becomes paralyzed and then generally disengages, falls off, and frequently dies. It also disrupts their ability to feed.
