“I really like the women’s hoodie. It is lightweight, comfortable and fits well. Wore it on a camping trip and had no problems with mosquitoes whatsoever.”
“It's cold here most of the year, so this tech hoodie is a great layering item in the cool days of fall and perfect on its own on warmer fall days. Ticks season seems to get longer and longer, so Insect Shield items are even more necessary than years before. I bought the light color to be more visible in the woods. Definitely get a size larger than you are used to as this hoodie runs small.”
“Our rural home is surrounded by farms and neighbors with ponds and standing water. Mosquitoes are so bad this year that we walk out into a cloud of them near sunrise and sunset, and with a young puppy we have to go outside frequently. I put my insect shield clothing on right over my summer clothes early and late in the day. I put on the yoga pants and tuck them into boots, cover my head and most of my face with the wrap scarf leaving the area around my eyes open, and then the hoodie. I also pull the sleeves down over my hands so the only exposed skin is around my eyes. I quickly discovered that while outside with our pup I have to use a windshield motion with my hand to keep the mosquito swarm away from my eyes, and I let the permethrin take care of the ones landing on me. The mosquitoes we have here are not at all repelled by the clothing, they land by the dozens every second, but they quickly fall off. So far I’ve only had one bite while wearing these clothes and that was the first time I wore them. Since then I’ve had great success.”
“Fabric is really comfortable and lightweight. I like the aqua blue color for the sun. The extended sleeve with thumb hole is a nice touch. The hood is functional if you have less curly hair, but might not have enough room for some. I wish the hood were more stylish, too.”
